The biggest eBay France change of 2026 happened on 1 September: private sellers living in the EEA no longer pay a final value fee or regulatory fee on eBay.fr. The tiered "10% up to €2,000, then 2%" structure many guides still describe now only applies to private sellers who live outside the EEA. Business sellers (vendeurs professionnels) pay a category-based fee — with tiers of their own.

eBay France fees at a glance
| Seller type | Final value fee | Per-order fee | Regulatory fee | International fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Private seller | None | None | None | 0%–3.96% |
| Business seller | 5%–12% by category | €0.35 | 0.35% | 0%–3.3% |
Private sellers: free since 1 September 2026
If you're a private seller (vendeur particulier) registered in the EEA, eBay.fr charges:
- no final value fee and no regulatory operating fee, in any category;
- no listing fee for your first 150 listings a month (250 with a Boutique Classique at €19.94/month), then €0.35 per listing;
- an international fee only when the delivery address is outside the eurozone and Sweden (see below);
- optional upgrades such as a subtitle (€0.50) or second category (€0.35).
Private sellers registered outside the EEA still pay the old structure: 10% of the total sale up to €2,000, 2% on the part above €2,000, €0.35 per order and a 0.42% regulatory fee.
Business sellers: rates by category
Professional sellers pay a final value fee on the total sale (item + postage + VAT), plus €0.35 per order and a 0.35% regulatory operating fee. Fees are quoted excluding VAT.
| Category | Final value fee |
|---|---|
| Other categories | 9% |
| Electronic devices | 5% |
| Tech accessories | 7.5% |
| Car & motorcycle parts | 9% |
| Tyres & rims | 5% up to €500, 2% on the rest |
| Home, garden & DIY | 9% |
| Fashion & beauty | 12% |
| Watches & handbags | 12% up to €990, 2% on the rest |
| Jewellery | 12% up to €990, 4% on the rest |
| Collectibles, toys, coins & art | 9% up to €990, 2% on the rest |
How the tiers actually work
eBay France's tiers are calculated per item, not on your monthly sales. A tier such as "12% up to €990, then 2%" means the first €990 of that one sale is charged at 12% and only the part above €990 at 2%. Your volume across the month doesn't change the rate.
Take a €1,500 watch sold by a business seller:
- 12% up to 990: €118.80
- 2% above 990: €10.20
- Per-order fee: €0.35
- Regulatory fee (0.35%): €5.25
- Total: €134.60 — about 9.0% of the sale
For comparison, at typical prices:
- €40 T-shirt (fashion, 12%): €5.29
- €250 smartphone (devices, 5%): €13.72
- €60 board game (other categories, 9%): €5.96
- €300 trading card (collectibles, 9%): €28.40
Top Rated sellers can knock 10% off the variable part of the fee on listings with free domestic shipping, 30-day returns, 0–1 day handling and tracking on items from €25.
International fees
Sales into the eurozone and Sweden carry no international fee. Elsewhere, private sellers pay:
| Buyer's delivery region | International fee |
|---|---|
| Eurozone & Sweden | Free |
| Rest of Europe, USA & Canada | 1.92% |
| United Kingdom | 1.44% |
| Rest of world | 3.96% |
and business sellers pay:
| Buyer's delivery region | International fee |
|---|---|
| Eurozone & Sweden | Free |
| Rest of Europe, USA & Canada | 1.6% |
| United Kingdom | 1.2% |
| Rest of world | 3.3% |
Note that buyers in the USA and Canada fall into the same band as non-euro Europe.
Boutiques (eBay Stores)
Boutiques give business sellers free listing allowances; they don't change the final value fee. Without a Boutique, listings cost €0.30 (fixed price) or €0.40 (auction).
